Face painting frequently asked questions
What kind of face paints do you use?
Face the Art artists use only the highest quality facepaints and cosmetic-grade FDA-compliant supplies. Some of the facepaints we use include: TAG, Diamond FX, Snazaroo and Grimas which contain anti-bacterial agents.
How many faces can you paint per hour?
Our face painting artists can paint approximately 10-12 full face designs per hour.
Are you willing to travel?
Our face painting team services all areas of Adelaide, South Australia. We have a face painting artist located near you and our team has been seen in Gawler, Barossa Valley, Tea Tree Gully, Clare, Adelaide and surrounding suburbs. Depending on the location of your party/event a small travel surcharge may apply.
What is the youngest age you can paint?
The facepaints we use are gentle enough to be used on any age. If they are willing to be painted, we are willing to try! Younger children (under the age of 2) may prefer to have their arm painted first - they love to watch and are then more inclined to have their face painted.
How is the face paint removed?
We choose gentle cosmetic facepaint supplies that are easily removed with mild soap and warm water.
Is face painting safe/sanitary?
We use anti-bacterial hand lotions to keep hands clean between clients, clean sponges (one sponge per client), clean water and brushes. We do not paint over any wounds or skin conditions such as eczema.
I’m expecting a lot of children, but only want to book a face painter for a limited time, can you do some quick cheek art?
When you hire a professional, you deserve professional-level results. We always put forth our best effort and will not compromise our reputation by doing fast, sloppy work. However, we can offer you a range of queue busting designs that are quick but still have impact. This does not mean “quick cheek art,” as small does not necessarily mean faster. Many smaller designs require more detail than some broad stroke full-face designs.
